What will my company really pay in Cyprus?

Updated 2026Correct as at 1 January 2026

Corporate tax and GESY on distributed profit for a Non-Dom owner, next to what the same profit costs where you are now.

How it works

Cyprus at a glance

Cyprus taxes corporate profits at 15% (from 1 January 2026). Distributions to a Non-Dom shareholder attract 0% dividend tax; only 2.65% GESY applies, and the contribution base is capped at €180,000, so the effective rate falls as profit grows.

The headline figure is the effective tax on distributed profit for a Non-Dom resident who draws no salary. Director salary and personal income tax are outside it, and Non-Dom status follows tax residency - it is not the starting point.

This is an estimate, not advice. The figure is corporate tax plus GESY on the distributed profit for a Non-Dom resident who draws no salary. It excludes director salary and personal income tax, which change the picture. Non-Dom status can only be obtained after Cyprus tax residency is established. GESY is charged at 2.65% on the dividend distribution (the profit left after corporate tax), and the contribution base is capped at €180,000 of that distribution - so it can never exceed €4,770 a year.
